Porsche

Porsche is one of the most popular sports cars ever in the world. They have been called the most prestigious automobile brand by the Luxury Institute located in New York. Some of the most popular models Porsche has to offer today are the Boxster Roadster, 911, The Cayman, The Cayenne, Carreta which is a mid size SUV and the GT Sportscar. They are currently working on the newest line of car called the Panamera.  In 2006 Porsche was awarded the prestigious J.D Power and Associates award for the Nameplate Initial Quality Study of all car brands.
Not many people are aware that the first Porsches were made from Volkswagen parts and now today they offer consults with other car manufacturers such as Studebaker, SEAT, Daewoo, Subaru and Yugo. Porsche has also helped motorcycle giant Harley Davidson design the new engine in their newer motorcycle V-Rod.

In the racing community there has always been a rival between Porsche and Ferrari even though each car is designed different but they are similar demographics. Ferrari also sell less cars than Porsche because they have cars priced over 100,000, Porsche cost much less than that so they do sell more cars. The competition may have stemmed from the fact they are both sports cars and the performance of the cars may be somewhat similar but you can’t match car for car there are more differences.
These days Porsche rivals the Mercedes Benz and BMW and Ferrari does its competing with car manufactures of Lamborghini and Aston Martin. Porsches also do have some competition in Lotus, Jaguar and Maserati. Most people dream at one point in their lives of owing a Porsche but these elite cars are expensive and as people settle into their 30’s and 40’s they are raising families and hope in their 50’s to finally own one.
